About Doors Open Days Glasgow

Glasgow's Doors Open Days event 'Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival' takes place over a week in September with a programme of open buildings, walks, talks, tours, special events and children's activities.

Celebrating its 30th year, Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival returns to throw open the doors of the city in celebration of Glasgow’s architecture, culture and heritage. Come along 16th - 22nd September to get behind the scenes in some of Glasgow’s iconic historic buildings as well as working factories, breweries, theatres and more. With a whole new programme, featuring hundreds of open buildings, walks, talks, tours, exhibitions, special events and children’s activities, the city is yours to explore!

Doors Open Days is a national event run by the Scottish Civic Trust. Information about the national programme, including event listings, can be found at www.doorsopendays.org.uk. Doors Open Days, along with Scottish Archaeology Month take place throughout Scotland and are part of European Heritage Days – an initiative which promotes a sense of community and a “common heritage” throughout the continent.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Doors Open Days Glasgow are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
