About Pedal For Scotland: The Classic Challenge

The Pedal for Scotland Classic Challenge is a 45 mile bike ride from Glasgow to Edinburgh. This is the event’s most popular ride and attracted over 6,000 participants in 2017. Challenge yourself, take part with friends and family or raise money for great causes - no matter your reason for taking part, the Classic Challenge is a fantastic day out on your bike.
The Classic Challenge route* takes in Scotland’s two largest cities via stunning countryside. It’s the perfect challenge for both regular riders and those who haven’t cycled in a while – a few weeks training is enough to get in shape.
There are rest stops around every ten miles or so serving refreshments making for the perfect active day out for groups of friends, family or work mates.
DATE: Sunday, 9th September 2018
START: Glasgow Green from 7:30am
FINISH: Royal Highland Centre (tbc)
ROUTE*: 45 miles closed road route, some hills
STANDARD ENTRY: £26 Early Bird (regularly £29); £18 Early Bird concessions (regularly £21) Standard entry includes rider pack with bib and bike number and info guide, finisher's medal and refreshments along route (entry subject to booking fee)
GOLD ENTRY: £36 Early Bird (regularly £39); £28 Early Bird concessions (regularly £31) - Gold entry also includes as Standard, plus t-shirt (reg £7.99), bag drop option, option to set up a team, referral discount, priority queuing, auto-entry into prize draw (entry subject to booking fee)
EVENT TRANSPORT: £20 for you and your bike from Edinburgh to Glasgow in the morning for the start, or later in the day back to Glasgow once you've finished
T-SHIRT: £7.99 (note: t-shirt included in Gold Entry)
