This year’s annual Hospitals’ Concert is a very special one for two reasons.
Firstly, it is the 40th concert to be held in Glasgow and over that period we have raised over £1million for the charity CLIC Sargent Cancer Care for the Young, which provides much-needed help to young people with cancer and their families, including free accommodation.
Secondly, this will be the last concert to be conducted by Ian McCrorie, who has been the charismatic conductor for more than half of our concerts, and who has decided it is time to hand up his baton.
Our guests this year will be the Festival Choir of Craigholme School and soloist Katherine Bryan, principal flautist with the RSNO. We will also welcome back Glasgow Chamber Orchestra and accompanist Ed Cohen.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Glasgow Hospitals’ Christmas Carol Concert are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
