Continuing our season of live acoustic sets in the Vic Bar, The Seven Song Club presents:
Friday 30th August: Callum Easter plus special guests
Callum Easter is an artist with a strong local reputation who emerged from the creative heat of the Leith studio that spawned Mercury prize-winning act Young Fathers, with whom he played keys and lap steel live and toured with as support. He’ll be playing songs from his extraordinary debut album Here or Nowhere and we’re delighted to have this Edinburgh-based singer of otherworldly rhythm and blues play at the Club.
Friday 27th September: Willie Campbell
Willie is a Scottish singer-songwriter based on the Isle of Lewis who first came to widespread attention co-fronting Astrid and as a founding member of Gary Lightbody’s Reindeer Section. His current creative guise, The Open Day Rotation, have released three critically acclaimed albums with a fourth in the works.
Friday 25th October: Acoustic Butterfly
Acoustic Butterfly play a melting pot of styles and rhythms, catchy melodies and harmonies. The lineup is always changing depending on who is in town (you’ll often catch fiddles, harps, mandolins and the like) but at the heart of it all you find solid rootsy Celtic grooves with original songwriting by Scottish musician and songwriter Michael Clark (Celtic Connections Danny Kyle Finalist).
Additional Dates: 25 October 2019
