When the headline act fails to show up, Jango, a bumbling theatre caretaker, is suddenly thrust into the limelight and embarks on a hilarious journey of highly crafted and heart-felt silent comedy, as he magically finds his way to realise his dream of transforming into a star! Jango Starr’s unique style of silent physical theatre includes contemporary circus clowning, slapstick comedy, puppetry, juggling and absurd magic, bringing laughter and joy to all ages!

The Puppet Animation Festival by Puppet Animation Scotland is the UK’s largest performing arts event for children and families and includes puppet-making, stop-motion animation workshops, puppet theatre and animated films. Join us to celebrate this year’s festival with theatre shows, puppet making workshops, sensory storytelling and Disney film favourites in the beautiful surroundings of Maryhill Burgh Halls. Our events are suitable for families with opportunities for all ages and abilities to discover the art of storytelling and puppetry
