Glasgow Film Festival: Rebel Heroes

Following last year’s celebration of the Dangerous Dames of film noir, Glasgow Film Festival 2018 will salute the big screen’s Rebel Heroes.

Glasgow Film Festival: Rebel Heroes

About Glasgow Film Festival: Rebel Heroes

These characters fought the system, challenged rank injustice, broke all the rules and refused to bow before the forces of implacable misguided authority. This is a collection of male mavericks and misfits who left an indelible impression on the movies. We promise to bring you a big screen classic every morning for absolutely no charge, from Henry Fonda’s resolute people’s champion in The Grapes of Wrath to Paul Newman’s unbreakable egg-chomping chain gang member in Cool Hand Luke, Sidney Poitier’s shackled convict in The Defiant Ones and Steve McQueen’s ice-cool San Francisco cop in Bullitt. Rise up and join us.

Please note: Tickets for all Rebel Heroes screenings are free and are only available in person from GFT box office on the day of the screening. Maximum 2 tickets per person.
