Power to the People: Understanding Community Right to Buy

Glasgow City Heritage Trust in partnership with the Built Environment Forum Scotland (BEFS) invite you to join them for their 'Understanding Community Right to Buy' event at Govanhill Baths.

Power to the People: Understanding Community Right to Buy

About Power to the People: Understanding Community Right to Buy

The power for communities to have the right to buy abandoned, neglected, or detrimental land and buildings is soon to become available: what opportunities will it offer your community?

Glasgow City Heritage Trust in partnership with the Built Environment Forum Scotland (BEFS) invite you to join us at Govanhill Baths to find out more about this legislation, which will give communities significant power and rights to acquire land and buildings. Throughout the evening we will hear from a variety of organisations about what land is eligible, which community bodies can apply and the process for doing so. There will be opportunity for discussion and to learn from other communities that have taken on ownership responsibilities.

This event is free to attend, all welcome. No booking required.

Light refreshments will be provided.

BEFS is an umbrella body for organisations working in the built environment in Scotland. BEFS informs, debates and advocates on the strategic issues, opportunities and challenges facing Scotland’s historic and contemporary built environment.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Power to the People: Understanding Community Right to Buy are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
