In this creative and engaging session, tutor Lottie Barker will draw on principles of Universal Design in dance, an approach pioneered by Jürg Koch at the University of Washington. Instead of a disability-specific approach of ‘adapting’ movement to suit individuals, this approach allows everyone in the class to work with the same principles and use them in a way that works for them and allows them to push themselves.
This session will be held in a wheelchair accessible space and BSL interpretation is available on request (with 1 weeks’ notice).
This class is part of a series of workshops presented by Dance House Glasgow as part of the Spring Programme. For more information on these and all of our other classes, please visit our website.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Contemporary Improvisation Workshop are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
