About Parkour Easter Camp

Join us this Easter!

Artists and Parkour coaches David Banks & Scott Houston, have come together to bring you a four day Easter Camp, at the Kinning Park Complex. Both David and Scott will be bringing their arts and Parkour coaching experience into the camp, in order to deliver both a creative and disciplined approach.

Details:
- 10-4pm
- Indoor and Outdoor coaching
- Ages 8-16
- £100 for full 4 days
- £30 for a single day

Brief about coaches:
David & Scott are highly qualified and experienced athletes. Both are hold a Level 2 Coaching qualification under the Parkour UK guidelines and have practiced the sport for over a decade. They have also worked regularly with active schools and communities, to attain attendance from those with interest in the Sport. In the Arts, both have performed, choreographed and directed numerous performances as well as stunt-work in various mediums.

Brief about Parkour:
As a newly recognised sport, Parkour has a growing interest from many. As a non-competitive sport, the practice of Parkour remains highly about how we as people can better ourselves through physical literacy. To be strong in many ways to be useful to others. The skills practiced and developed over recent years have proven to be useful across for understanding and improving;

- Skill development
- Problem solving
- Physical fitness
- Risk management
- Social engagement

Common misconceptions about Parkour are often out of misunderstanding, as well as a lack of reliable resources. It's not about recklessness or jumping off roofs, as this is focuses on the spectacle for the sake of impressing others. Parkour ensures participants understand the limitations we have as people, so we can begin to challenge those limits safely.
