Bryony Knox is an Edinburgh based Silversmith. Over the past 20 years she has worked in various forms of metal, specialising in the technique of Repousse, which is used in much of the metalwork of Mackintosh and his contemporaries.
Bryony will share her knowledge of working with sheet copper and how designs can be formed by embossing and forming this malleable metal. You will have the option to make a figurative mirror or brooch and pendant. The day includes a tour of the Charles Rennie Mackintosh: Making the Glasgow Style exhibition. Bryony will discuss how items were made and Glasgow Style motifs will inspire your own creation.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Mackintosh in Metal with Bryony Knox are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
