Sagra Italiana 2018

About Sagra Italiana 2018

Paramount Creative, the team behind major events such as the The Italian Awards , presents the first Sagra Italiana!

On the 2nd and 3rd of June 2018, Glasgow’s famous George Square will come to life with an authentic Sagra Italiana.

In Italy, Sagra is a local festival characterised by community tradition, live music and, most importantly, food and drink; Italy sees over 400 sargre italiane take place over the summer period!

Glasgow’s Sagra Italiana is a celebration of Scotland’s love of Italy! The spirit of the weekend will be to gather people of all generations, Italians, Scots, Italo-Scots, Italophiles and foodies to celebrate Italy in the city. Sagra Italiana will boast fun for all the family with a ‘pesca di beneficenza’ (literally ‘charity fishing’), live music, children’s activities and a chance to meet ‘Lupo’ the Sagra Italiana’s mascot! But it’s all in the food! - George Square will see stalls from restaurants across the city serving up their finest dishes, a sparkling prosecco bar and demonstrations to help inspire your Italian cuisine.

We look forward to welcoming you!

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Sagra Italiana 2018 are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
