About TILT: New work by Russell McGovern, Gerry Miller, Suzanne McAleer and J M Fulton

The exhibition will include installation, photography, collage and painting with a launch event open to the public.

The artists, all graduates of the GSA, are collaborating for the first time at the show in Crownpoint Studios.

Gerry Miller is a full time photographer with an interest in how people use photography, exploring themes of memory triggers and how people use photography to present themselves through social media.

Suzanne McAleer's sculptures have been awarded public commissions. In her two-dimensional work she uses collage, elements of dark humour and pop culture imagery which explore themes of anthropomorphism, magic realism, body dismorphia, disability and emotion. Her work has been displayed prominently in Glasgow and Berlin. She has trained in metalwork and fabrication and has worked in TV, film and theatre. She now works in architectural salvage.

Russell McGovern has exhibited nationally and internationally and for the past decade has worked in film and TV.

J M Fulton is a painter whose figurative works deal with the history and traditions of Glasgow and of Scotland. He is a former winner of the Royal Scottish Academy scholarship to Florence and his work can be found in private and public collections. He has exhibited widely.

The opening event will be Saturday, May 26th from 7pm-9pm at Crownpoint Studios, Crownpoint Road, Glasgow.

It will then be available to view on Sunday 27th, Monday 28th of May and on Saturday, 2nd and Sunday 3rd of June between from 12 noon till 5pm.
