Blood Rock: Fundraiser in aid of Lifesavers Scotland

About Blood Rock: Fundraiser in aid of Lifesavers Scotland

It's June, the official 'birthday' month of Alternative Promotions, which can only mean one thing - it's time for our annual ticketed charity gig!

This year, it's all about the Life Savers Scotland guys! These unsung heroes fly massively under the radar. You've probably seen those vehicles with "Emergency Blood" printed on them; that's these guys! They work tirelessly to transport (mainly) blood to where it's needed most, at a seconds notice, to every hospital in Scotland. They're a volunteer-run service, who rely on public funding to, ultimately, help save lives!

EVERY penny from this gig, including ticket sales and donations on the night, will go straight to Lifesavers Scotland (none of this "profits" nonsense). We'll also have a raffle, with prizes that we'll reveal on the night. So tell your mates and join us for one of the best and most important* gigs of the year!

RAFFLE UPDATE
We've just added some beer from Williams Bros. Brewing Co. to the raffle! Plus the meal for 2* from Juicy Lucy's Burger Company and some free music stuff from New Hellfire Club Glasgow, with more being looked at to be added later!

* does not include alcoholic beverages

Scottish rock band active since 2008. We play an eclectic style of rock, taking influence from metal, glam, punk and more. We've had the pleasure of opening for acts such as Tyla of The Dogs D'Amour, All Living Fear, and performing at Download Festival 2010 alongside acts such as AC/DC and Aerosmith to commemorate thirty years of rock at Donington Park.

"Scottish Metalcore band D3VILMAYCRY certainly give current Metal acts a run for their money. Formed in 2012, the five piece are inspired by groups such as AVENGED SEVENFOLD, METALLICA and GUNS ‘N ROSES, influences which are apparent in the music, but the Scottish newcomers clearly have their own sound. Their latest album “The Pawn That Took The King” is heavy yet melodic, and a rollercoaster of sound. Give these guys a listen – they might just be your new favourite band."
