Featuring some of the biggest names in contemporary Gaelic music, Ginealach Ur celebrates the inspirational mentors and teachers who provide encouragement and support for the next generation!
About Ginealach Ur - New Tradition
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
'New Tradition' - Iain 'Costello' MacIver and John Murray formed the band 25 years ago, and to celebrate have released their latest album 'Hebridean Sky'. We can look forward to old favourites and new releases!
Iain has championed Gaelic culture and inspired many contemporary musicians through his work as a music teacher, including Mischa MacPherson (Gaelic Singer of the Year/MG Alba Trad Music Awards and BBC Radio 2's Young Folk Award winner) who will be joined by friends Innes White, Kathleen MacInnes, Kim Carnie and Alasdair Iain Paterson.
Ceòl 's Craic and An Lochran have also especially commissioned Mischa to undertake workshops with young vocalists from Glasgow's Gaelic School, and we are really looking forward to hearing them kick off the night!
Tickets available at www.cca-glasgow.com/programme/ceol-s-craic-ginealach-ur-new-generation or on the door.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Ginealach Ur - New Tradition are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
