East End Elfins
East End Elfins are a Woodcraft Folk group for 6 to 9 year olds that meet on Monday evenings in Alexandra Park or St Andrew's East Parish Church!
About East End Elfins
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
At Woodcraft Folk, we believe passionately in equality and co-operation. Everyone is welcome to join our groups and learn about big ideas through fun activities like singing, camping, playing and debating. At our groups, there is always an informal and inclusive environment for young people to develop their ideas, share experiences, and make life-long friends locally and beyond.
The East End Elfins are a Woodcraft Folk group that meet on Monday evenings from 6pm - 7pm, inside the main gates of Alexandra Park, on Alexandra Parade. During the winter weather and dark nights we meet next door to the park, inside the hall at St Andrew's East Parish Church. Elfins are generally aged 6-9 years old, however, we welcome applications from any primary school aged children. An adult must accompany children under the age of 6 for the full session.
Visit our Facebook page and see some of the fun activities and events we've shared together!
The cost is £1.50 per child per session, and £1 per sibling (concessions available). This covers the cost of materials, group registration fees and hall hire fees in winter.
The group is run by parents and non-parent volunteers. It's always great if parents can get involved when they can to support the group with running the activities, admin, finance, and fundraising.
If your family would be interested in joining the group, or you would like to discuss volunteering, please contact Elaine at eastendwoodcraft@gmail.com
The first session is free if you would like a taster to see how you enjoy it, and we plan our programmes collaboratively with input from all adults and young people. There are also many opportunities for training, as well as camps and hostel weekends.
