Carla J. Easton and Mark McGowan

About Carla J. Easton and Mark McGowan

Glasgow’s self-styled “Princess of DIY Pop”, Carla J. Easton, released her second solo album, Impossible Stuff, to rapturous acclaim in autumn 2018. Recorded with Arcade Fire/Leonard Cohen producer Howard Bilerman at Montreal’s Hotel2Tango studio (a somewhat grander DIY workshop than previously), it sets her dreamily melodic songs amid splendid Spector-esque layers of brass, strings and analogue synths. “Easton’s maturing sound is intoxicating... essential indie pop” (Louder Than War)

With his compelling folk/soul songcraft and huskily resonant voice, singersongwriter Mark McGowan simultaneously evokes Stax-era Memphis, 1960s Greenwich Village and his own Glasgow home, where his profile is rapidly in the ascendant. “A phenomenal talent” (Tenement TV)

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Carla J. Easton and Mark McGowan are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
