This Easter, little artists have the chance to become part of a fairy-tale through the art of costume and mask making at Studio Pavilion!

About Easter Art School Week 2 - Marvellous Creatures

During this class, little artists will gain inspiration from books and fairy tales to create their own marvellous creature or character, and bring their ideas to life in the form of costume making. The young artists will have the opportunity to explore artistic techniques such as print-making, modelling, painting, drawing and basic sewing as they bring fantasy into reality and express their own imaginative ideas in both 2D and 3D art forms.

Skills:
• Exploring imaginative ideas
• Storytelling
• Bookbinding
• Print making techniques including mono-printing and printing on fabric
• Basic sewing
• Painting
• Drawing
• Using colour, taking into account colour combinations and the colour wheel

Outcomes:
• Their own costume
• Their own mask
