Black Honey, The Blinders and She Drew The Gun will each play an exclusive SJ Presents gig in Scotland this March as part of Sailor Jerry rum’s ‘City Takeover’ events. Hitting-up three of Scotland’s most iconic music venues, the gigs will also feature awesome yet-to-be-announced local support acts.
Black Honey are first up, playing at Stereo in Glasgow in Tuesday 19th March. Lead by Izzy B Phillips with her Milky-Bar-kid-meets-Debbie Harry persona, Black Honey have built up an incredible demand for their live shows. They will be performing tracks from their debut self-titled album; a collage of chaos, shot straight at the heart – honest, inspiring and deeply infectious.
The Blinders will take to the stage at La Belle Angele in Edinburgh on Wednesday 20th March. Fresh from their sold-out debut album tour and championed by the likes of Blossoms, The Charlatans and Cabbage, the South Yorkshire punk trio will take their dystopian anthems – from widely praised debut LP ‘Columbia’ – to even greater heights.
Last but certainly not least, She Drew The Gun will headline Church in Dundee on Thursday 21st March. She Drew The Gun make impassioned, hypnotic and darkly ornate psych-pop built around the lyrically evocative songwriting of rebel bard Louisa Roach. They were winners of Glastonbury’s Emerging talent competition in 2016 and have played many a main stage since then.
Each of the SJ Presents gig will cost just £5 but tickets are limited! Mouthwatering Sailor Jerry drinks will be served throughout the night and the first one is on the house. PLUS whilst at the gigs, keep your eyes peeled for Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins tattoo flash designs to be in with a chance of winning tickets to an exclusive party later in the year…Sailor Jerry: The Castle Takeover! #SJFollowTheFlash
