About Boys’ Brigade Scottish Bands Contest

This event is suitable for all ages and brings together some tremendous musical talent - with some of the performers as young as eight years' old. Whether this type of music is familiar to you or not, we are certain that you will be entertained and impressed by the talent and dedication of these young people.
This year marks 40 years of the contest, which has always proved exciting event to showcase the established and up-and-coming musical skills of BB members.
This year’s event welcomes bands from Largs, Troon, Dundee, Monifieth, Bearsden, Wishaw, Johnstone, Kincardine, Port Glasgow and Dunblane.

Tickets prices £3.50 (£2.50) will be available on the day along with programmes which will guide you through the performances.

Music is just one of many opportunities available through The Boys’ Brigade.
Active in nearly 400 communities in Scotland, The Boys’ Brigade youth organisation provides opportunities for children and young people to learn, grow and discover in a safe, fun and caring environment which is rooted in the Christian faith.

Whether in music, creativity, science, sport, social action or adventure, we provide opportunities to learn and develop skills and interests through an informal, progressive and varied programme across four age groups running from 5 to 18 years.

The Boys’ Brigade is passionate about giving young people a space to grow and to reach their full potential - developing essential life skills - confidence, resilience, team work, leadership and independence. We support young people to discover more about themselves and the world around them, realise what they are capable of and how their voice can be heard.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Boys’ Brigade Scottish Bands Contest are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
