About Chamber Music at The Drake - The Kentigern Quartet

Welcome again to The Kentigern Quartet who join us for a splendid concert of two favourites, plus a quartet from Scottish Composer Sir John Blackwood McEwen (13 April 1868 – 14 June 1948).

Programme is:

Beethoven: String Quartet in Bb Op. 18 No.6
McEwen: "Biscay" Quartet
Debussy: String Quartet. Op.10

The players are:

Barbara Downie, Feargus Hetherington: Violins
Nicola Boag: Viola
Jessica Kerr: Cello

The Upstairs Drawing room at The Drake offers an ideal setting for small scale music making, with the audience sitting around the players and able to appreciate the intricacies of the fine music making from this ensemble.
