About BA (Hons) Contemporary Art Practice Degree Show

We are delighted to announce the dates for the BA (Hons) Contemporary Art Practice Degree Show at City of Glasgow College. This show will be the central belt’s first exhibition of the art school Degree Show season and it is set to be an interesting and thought-provoking offering. Taking place in the newly built campus on Cathedral Street, the stunning building provides a perfect showcase for the final work of 4th year students.

City of Glasgow College is the only college in Scotland to run a Fine Art degree. Within this setting the students are uniquely positioned to make progressive, varied and exciting work as they are not bound by the traditions of the conventional Art Schools. The energy of this young programme provides students with a platform to make fresh and vibrant work. As a multi-disciplinary course, the student’s work is thoroughly diverse and includes painting and printmaking, ceramics, textiles, sculpture, digital art and more.

This small and intimate degree show will be a breath of fresh air from the often-sprawling exhibitions of other institutions yet will demonstrate the diversity and quality of the work perfectly. The preview looks set to be a night to remember. The CAP Degree Show 2019 - the first show of the season and it’s going to be a great one!

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for BA (Hons) Contemporary Art Practice Degree Show are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
