Repair Café Glasgow is on a mission to save your items from waste. We host monthly events in spaces across the city where people can get help to fix their broken things for free and workshops that help to up skill people in repair!
This month, we are celebrating our 1st birthday! We will be hosting a longer repair session, we have a pay-what-you-want lunch available on the day for attendees and a special Ethiopian coffee ceremony from our volunteers as well as all our regular repair activities!
Do you have a broken toaster you have been putting off getting fixed? A hole in your jumper that needs a patch? Our team of volunteer repairers will be on hand to help you mend your broken handheld items such as clothes, electrical and electronic items. If we can't manage to fix your items then we direct you to somewhere that can or alternatively the best place to recycle them.
Repair Café Glasgow is supported by the Climate Challenge Fund and European Regional Development Fund. The Climate Challenge Fund provides grants and support for community-led organisations to tackle climate change by running projects that reduce carbon local emissions. The European Regional Development Fund comes from the European Structural and Investment Fund which helps to facilitate major investments to support transformational change and economic and social structural reforms across Scotland.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for The Big Fix - Repair Café Glasgow are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
