Soap Felting Workshop

About Soap Felting Workshop

You will learn to understand the temperament of the wool when dry and when wet. It is a lovely therapeutic and sensory experience!

Why do we cover soap with felt? It simply looks beautiful (and at the same time covers any cracks!), makes the soap last longer, is naturally anti-microbial and can be used as an instant wash cloth – great for travelling!

You will:
• Have the chance to work with a range of beautifully dyed wool and create an abstract pattern of your liking.
• Be able to feel different types of wool and gain some basic knowledge about this fantastic material.
• You will be taught step by step how to work with the wool and how to work around any issues that may arise.
• You will go home with your own felted soap!

Please feel free to bring your own soap if you have any allergies or preferences. A selection of soaps will be offered on the day. All materials are included.

If you have any questions please contact: create@applyyourarts.com

Please note the Dynamic Drawing workshop (adults only) is straight after the Soap Felting workshop if you wish to join in on both workshops, please book your ticket via the website: applyyourarts.com or contact: create@applyyourarts.com
