Westerton Gala Day
Westerton's Annual Gala Day, on Saturday 7th September, will have a flavour of space in celebration of the First Man on The Moon 50th Anniversary!
About Westerton Gala Day
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
The gala day, on Saturday 7th September, will once again start with a one mile fun run starting from Wheatfield road (register for the run from 10.45-11.15am). The run starts at 11.30am. Registration and the route will be manned by volunteers from the Maryhill Harriers. It's free to take part.
Straight after the fun run at 11.45am there is a musical parade, from Wheatfield Road to the stage on the large field behind the community centre. Following the crowning of the gala queen, there will be on stage entertainment. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor fun activities for all ages in the community hall, brownie hut, bowling club and out on the field. Visitors can look forward to inflatables, face painting, a dog agility course, STEM activities, the bake off, craft stalls, delicious food, tug of war and lots, lots more!!
If you want to treat yourselves, the brownie hut will be hosting a tearoom, selling delicious tea and cake.
Wristbands to access activities such as the inflatables cost £TBC. Under 3s can get wristbands for a reduced price of £TBC. Tiny babies don't need a wristband. You can buy wristbands at the fun run registration or at the community hall and field.

Westerton Gala Day aims to bring people of all ages together to have fun and celebrate local community life and provide charities and local groups with an opportunity to raise their profile and raise funds. It is organised by a group of volunteers.
