Glasgow Girls and the Cinema City

About Glasgow Girls and the Cinema City

How did Hollywood cinema influence the way women dressed in the 1940s and 1950s?

As part of our Women, War and the West End exhibition (generously funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund), join dress historian Casci Ritchie for an illustrated talk discussing the impact of the Golden Age of cinema on Glaswegian women and their style during the interwar and post-war eras, in the beautiful setting of the Tenement House.

This is a free event, but tickets must be booked in advance due to limited space.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Glasgow Girls and the Cinema City are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
