About Public Debate: What do you need to live a full life in your community?
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
The IASSIDD World Congress 2019 is being hosted in Glasgow for the first time, bringing together experts in the field of learning disabilities from across the world.
The Congress takes place from Tuesday 6th - Friday 9th August at the SEC in Glasgow. The IASSIDD Congress would like to extend an invitation to the wider public to come and join us for the Public debate which is free to register and open to all.
The debate is a chance to share your ideas and experiences with delegates from across the world.
This event will be facilitated by Professor Roy McConkey (Emeritus Professor of Developmental Disabilities at Ulster University) with panel discussions and contributions from the floor.
Roy will be joined by self-advocates including the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) Fellows and their supporters.
You are then invited to join us for ‘Let’s talk some more’ from 20:15 - a chance to join the panel for further discussion and a drink in the Forth Suite of the Clyde Auditorium. (Your first soft drink is free).
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Public Debate: What do you need to live a full life in your community? are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
