‘it’s made a big difference’ - A Silent Auction

About ‘it’s made a big difference’ - A Silent Auction

"it's made a big difference" are the words of a parent whose life was changed by Volunteer Glasgow. Her son was paired with a volunteer befriender through the charity, who helped him to overcome low self-esteem and transform his quality of life. This story is one heard again and again, whether its thanks to programmes like the Young Persons Befriending Service, or just as people pop into Volunteer Glasgow's public drop ins.

For nearly 50 years, Volunteer Glasgow has been changing lives through matching people to amazing volunteering opportunities, and by supporting organisations across the city to make those opportunities fun, accessible and rewarding.

Whether it's learning a new skill or getting a helping hand when it's needed most, amazing things happen because of Volunteer Glasgow every day. The "it's made a big difference" auction will help us raise much-needed funds to continue delivering these vital services.

We're thrilled to be working with generous donors from across Scotland and the UK to bring you some amazing auction items, including:

- An original BBC Sherlock shooting script for 2016's 'The Abominable Bride', signed by Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Mark Gatiss and Stephen Moffat, generously donated by Sue Vertue and Paul McGuigan.
- An exclusive behind the scenes tour for 3 people around Glasgow Airport.
- A unique night out of food and comedy.

Doors will open at 20:00 at the Centre for Contemporary Arts Theatre, where you'll be welcomed with a choice of two signature summer cocktails or soft drink. The first 50 people to purchase a ticket will also receive a voucher for Naked Wines worth £75 upon entry. Just show your ticket to our volunteers on the door!
Bidding will begin at 20:30 and last until 22:00, with drinks and entertainment provided throughout the evening. Lucky winners will be announced and invited to confirm and pay for their purchases before doors close at 22:30. Cash, cheque and card payments are all accepted.

We can't wait to see you there!

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for ‘it’s made a big difference’ - A Silent Auction are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
