The Remit Art and Crafts Club

About The Remit Art and Crafts Club

An arts and craft class for children aged 8+, focussed on reusing materials to develop key creative skills.

Remit club sessions aim to teach children aged 8+ basic art, crafting, textile and photography skills in our colourful workshop.

All makes can be taken home. We reuse scrap and recycled materials wherever possible, encouraging wider thinking and developing creativity.

Sessions last 1.5 hours and parents/carers are welcome to drop off children for this time or stay as preferred. There is no obligation to block book, however attending weekly will allow children to complete larger projects where materials require time for drying etc.

The first 7 week block has a Christmas countdown focus. During this block, children will be encouraged to help develop and shape the New Year programme and make the club their own.

9th November - Ojo De Dios style fabric weaving. Design your own beautiful textiles artwork and add a 2020 calendar.
16th November - Harry Potter wall hanging. A creative gift or decoration.
23rd November - Make your own beautiful Christmas decorations.
30th November - Model your own bespoke advent calendar.
7th December - Learn the basics of photography with sun art and create your own Christmas cards.
14th December - Stitch your own Christmas stocking!
21st December - Craft an oversize cracker with handmade gifts for Christmas or New year.

Make Do and Grow is a not for profit social enterprise focussed on supporting growing families, developing creativity and encouraging reuse.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for The Remit Art and Crafts Club are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
