About Winter Springs + The Hoojamamas + Calum Ingram & Johnny Barr + Natalie Holmes

Winter Springs
Harmony led, folk/pop, singer-songwriter collective Winter Springs are made up of Edmund Jeffery, Natalie Holmes, Oliver Day, Johnny Barr, Charlotte Jones & Ollie Grant. The 6 solo musicians and songwriters work seamlessly as a whole, their material taking the listener on a journey from dark, complex emotion to foot tapping anthems that exude the close and comfortable connection they share. 5 part harmonies soar over dances between mandolin, piano and guitars as the band share stories that hit home whilst filling the air with ear-worms.

The Hoojamamas
The Hoojamamas are a 7 piece band of songwriters from Glasgow, Scotland. The band are heavily focused on songwriting, and while displaying both a lyrical and melodic emphasis, have a tendency to lean towards vocal harmony. Emulating the gentle and often heavier sounds of the late 60s/70s era, the band are a unique combination of collectivism and individualism that shines through in every performance. Blending psychedelic introspection and outward facing observations the band, in their music, try to capture and outline the essence of the human experience. The band have just released their debut album, Method of the Matchstick Men, and seem set on a path to deliver more and more as they progress.

Calum Ingram & Johnny Barr
From his roots in Paisley, Scotland, Calum grew up with a rich mix of blues, Americana, folk and rock music. When his classical cello training at school collided with his dad’s Jimi Hendrix records, a new and unique way to express his deep, heartfelt creativity was formed.Calum flourishes as both a solo singer-songwriter and an inspiring musical collaborator, working with diverse artists such as Chad Watson, Lorraine and The Borderlands, Gordy Duncan JR. and supporting Blues Rock legend Jack Bruce at The Queens Hall during Edinburgh’s Jazz and Blues Festival.

Johnny Barr is a Paisley based singer/songwriter. Frequently gigging either solo or full band, Johnny’s unique combination of percussive guitar technique and intricate finger picking makes him an exciting act to watch, especially when this is paired with his effortlessly exhilarating stage presence.
Johnny was featured on Radio 1’s BBC Introducing Scotland with DJ Ally Mccrae, and has supported a number of acts such as The Staves, Lianne La Havas, Admiral Fallow, Sucioperro, Aerials up, Alan Mckim and Lynnie Carson. Furthermore, he has headlined Glasgow’s King Tuts Wah Wah Hut and has also been part of the venue’s New Year’s Revolution festival.

Together, Calum and Johnny provide an energetic live show that will keep you on your toes! Even Calum or Johnny don't know whats coming next.. but thats what makes this rare duo performance special... Make sure you don't miss it!
