This is a release show of sorts for the new Soft Riot album on Possession Records, "When Push Comes to Shove".
Our own experimental, mutant auteur synthpop artist here on Possession. Soft Riot is JJD, a Glasgow-based Canadian who has over the last number of years released six albums and has toured off to locations locations all over Europe and parts of North America. The newest, seventh album, "When Push Comes To Shove", releases 11 November 2019 on Possession Records.
Aufbau Principle create caustic and doomed post-punk. Taking influence from the early 80’s dark Manchester sound as well as gothic cinema Aufbau Principle create music from the shards of broken relationships, doomed cityscapes and existential nightmares.
This dark-wave duo creates a compelling dystopian analogue soundscape straight from the northern industrial heartland. A synthesis of resonant vocals, mournful minimalism and brutalist bass, the State's sound is inspired by modern legend and ancient lore.
GEORGINA PENSTKART (Visuals)
A Glasgow-based live video artist and videomaker, producing densely filtered analogue textures from source video and a variety of modular effects. She will be providing live visuals for the bands throughout the evening.
