The walk covers 8 bridges and it's a great fun day out for every individual, a group of friends or the whole family. The route will take you around Millennium Bridge, Squinty Bridge, Tradeston Footbridge, King George V Bridge, Glasgow/Jamaica Street Bridge, Victoria Bridge, Albert Bridge, Suspension Bridge, Bells Bridge before finishing the walk back at the Riverside Museum!
A member of the team will be available at registration point throughout the day. You can start the walk at any time during the day, however, the cut off time for our registration/finish point is 5pm. But don't worry if you are not going to make it back, we will ask you to call us and check-in.
Some participants like to stop in various cafes around Glasgow, breaking up the walk throughout the day with friends and family, while others like to run the route! This is entirely up to you!
There is no minimum sponsorship – but we would love you to help us by raising as much as you can to support our work. To set up your online fundraising page we recommend Virgin Money Giving.
We are the only UK-wide charity for all those affected by a genetic bleeding disorder; a community of individuals and families, healthcare professionals and supporters.
For almost 70 years we have campaigned for better treatment, been a source of information and support, and raised awareness of bleeding disorders.
We want to ensure that everyone affected by a bleeding disorder:
• Lives the best life that they can
• Never feels alone or isolated
• Feels empowered and confident
We do this by:
• Raising awareness about bleeding disorders
• Providing support at all life stages
• Influencing and advocating on policy and access to treatment
We would love for you to join us on our first Big Red Bridge Walk Glasgow and help us make it a tradition!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
