Young Person’s Screen Printing Map Workshop

About Young Person’s Screen Printing Map Workshop

What does the city's form actually look to the people who live there? What does your neighbourhood look like? What are your landmarks? What are your regular routes?

As some guy once said, “the real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but seeing with new eyes,” and in this workshop you will have a chance to put your city on paper, using drawing, collage, stamping, and learning how to screen print!

We’ll use a set of symbols to map out our neighbourhoods using a fixed map key, use screen printed shapes to build the landmarks we use to get home, and we’ll all learn a little more about where we live seeing it through the eyes of others. Please wear clothing that you don’t mind getting inky!

This event is free, but ticketed, and is appropriate for children 10+

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Young Person’s Screen Printing Map Workshop are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
