Believe it or not O2ABC has only been a music venue for about 10% of its existence. Its first incarnation was as a diorama - theatrical experience where the audience rotated on a turntable. Skating into 1885, the venue became an ice rink for a couple of years.

A lot of people remember the building as ABC cinema, but did you know that the venue was host to the first ever public screening of a film in Glasgow? This was in 1896. Before settling on the purpose of a cinema. there was a bunch of clowning around as a circus then a dance hall.

Since our first gig with Roddy Frame in 2005, we’ve seen the likes of... Adele, Belle & Sebastian, Chvrches, David Gray, Ed Sheeran, Florence & The Machine, George Clinton, Hipsway, Idlewild, Jarvis Cocker, Kendrick Lamar, L7, Mumford & Sons, Nathaniel Rateliff, Ocean Colour Scene, Paulo Nutini, Quantic, Royal Blood, Sonic Youth, The Streets, Unkle, Vampire Weekend, Wailers, Xcerts, YG, Zero 7.
