Pop down the Lane, off Argyle Street, and have tea and delicious cakes at the award-winning Hidden Lane Tearoom, find stunning creations at Shona Jewellery (downstairs in the yellow building), get yourself something unique and upholstered at Bobbin & Fleck in the colourful wee row of craft workshops beside the tea-room or record a demo for your band at one of the recording studios, visit artists’ open studios and get your new artworks framed at McCracken Framing. You’ll find Shanti yoga studios (plus reiki, Swedish massage and personal training), sports physiotherapy, Paul Tasker’s guitar lessons, Hunter guitar repairs and dozens more businesses down the Lane.

Back on Argyle Street, the acclaimed Hidden Lane Gallery shows exhibitions of local and international painters, photographers and sculptors.
