With the release of the much anticipated family blockbuster Sherlock Gnomes and it’s star-studded cast just around the corner, the award-winning entertainment complex of The Quay has once again teamed up with the creative Rainbow Twisters, the dynamic duo behind the first ever Easter Wonderland balloon garden at The Quay in 2017 which saw thousands visit over a two week exhibition to see the masterpiece made entirely from 20,000 balloons.
This time around The Quay has teamed up with Rainbow Twisters as well as ODEON Luxe, Hollywood Bowl and a range of restaurants on site to provide a fun family friendly activity linked with the release of Sherlock Gnomes on 11 May. Over the opening weekend of the film, from 11- 13 May, families will be able to spot specially created balloon sculpted characters from the film dotted around The Quay and the idea will be to help Sherlock find his gnome friends that are hiding around the complex. Once they find just three of the characters and take a quick selfie with each one, they could win themselves the ultimate family day out at The Quay this month.
The talented creators of these Sherlock Gnomes characters, Sammy Sankey and Donnie MacNeil from Rainbow Twisters have been working hard to create these special themed one-off sculptures which look fantastic and will be the only ones of their kind in Scotland.
Full details on how to take part in this activity from 11-13 May can be found on www.thequayglasgow.com
Debbie Rossiter, Centre Manager for The Quay said: “We are thrilled to be linking up with many of our venues across the complex to put on a special activity like this one which adds something a little fun and a bit different to a visit to the cinema, bowling or one of our many restaurants. We continually listen to our customer feedback and know that families value the efforts we make to add some extra activities around big blockbuster films so we can’t wait to see lots of entries for this activity based competition on our Facebook page next week.”
The Quay Glasgow offers entertainment day and night and regularly hosts special events such as the recent Avengers: Infinity Wars www.thequayglasgow.com preview evening which sold out quickly. Visitors can expect yet more great activities and events linked to film releases over the summer and are urged to stay tuned to the website to see something very special centred around the release of Jurassic World next month.
