Held by FLY Functional Fitness, the event will be the first of its kind at BAaD and promises to offer a challenging sweat session for people of all fitness levels.
Renowned Glasgow DJ, Illyus, part of electric music duo Illyus & Barrientos, will be taking to the decks to help ensure no beats are missed during the session.
Already more than 150 people have signed up for the free workout with a further 100 spaces available. The class will feature FLY’s notorious workouts that will leave attendees feeling epic and will include a range of equipment such as the infamous Air Bikes, dead balls and plyo boxes.
There will be a number of sessions held throughout the two-hour event which starts from 6.30pm. As well as getting a work-out to some of the best music, there will also be a chance to participate in some retail therapy at the lululemon pop-up which will be showcasing the latest styles, as well as the opportunity to re-fuel and refresh at BAaD’s very own bar and restaurant.
Commenting on the event, Ross Park, owner of FLY Functional Fitness, said: “We’re really excited to host a mass fitness event in Glasgow and can’t wait to get started. Glasgow likes a party and what better way to celebrate our event than with Illyus who will be keeping everyone motivated in the beautiful surroundings of BAaD.
“We are keen to show how fitness can be fun regardless of the level you’re at and we’d encourage anyone who hasn’t already signed up to do so. Our team of trainers will be on hand to talk everyone through each move and everything is scalable. The event is free so hopefully people who perhaps hadn’t considered functional fitness will be up for coming down and giving it a go – we certainly can’t wait to meet them and have the best work out.”
Opened in 2016, FLY is a functional training facility that offers a workout with a difference.
FLY goes BAaD will take place at Barras Art and Design on Monday 4 June from 6.30-8.30pm. For more information or to register for free, please visit www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/fly-goes-baad-tickets-45976948290
