The FANS Youth Film Festival takes place over 3 days this November (16th – 18th) at the Scottish Trades Union Congress on Woodlands Road in Glasgow with featured events at Glasgow Film Theatre and Gilmorehill Cinema. The Festival is a truly Youth Led initiative supported by Creative Scotland and run by Film Access Scotland.
The FANS Youth Film Festival will feature a wide range of free and accessible workshops, talks and screenings aimed at young people. The workshops and talks will be led by industry professionals from different fields and backgrounds along with screenings of short films by youth film-makers from all areas of Scotland.
There will also be feature film screenings and film challenges across the festival weekend. Submissions of short films close on the 16th of September whilst the film challenges submissions close on the 5th of October.
The FANS Youth Film Festival 2018 a brand-new annual festival dedicated to bringing together young film-makers and empowering them with a platform to progress, learn and share their experiences. It has been designed and developed by a youth team of 12 young film-makers and artists from 6 regions of Scotland – they are all supported in their efforts by their Film Access Scotland organisation.
The FANS Youth Film Festival opens on Friday 16th of November and conclude on Sunday 18th of November. Submissions are open at www.fanscotland.org or email festival@fanscotland.org.
