Earlier this summer the search was launched for a local family to star in the new Loch Lomond Shores promotional film highlighting all that it has to offer to locals and visitors to the area.
After receiving lots of entries, the Young family from Jamestown were chosen with dad Alan, mum Tess and children Reece (aged 11) and Abigail (aged 10) all at Loch Lomond Shores filming this summer and having family fun on the banks of Loch Lomond.
Audrey Calder from Loch Lomond Shores comments: “Alan, Tess, Reece and Abigail were wonderful to work with and really made production so easy for everyone involved. This family most definitely have a potential career in TV!
“They really put their heart and soul in to helping us showcase everything we have at Loch Lomond Shores and didn’t baulk at anything - including the 65 metre zipwire at Treezone! We’re really happy with the results and think that the film not only shows all the things that families can do on a day out at Loch Lomond Shores but also looks brilliant.”
Filming took place over two days and despite mixed weather, there was plenty of sunshine so the family could enjoy all the outdoor activities on offer.
Commenting on their experience, Tess says: “We really couldn’t believe it when we were chosen as we know lots of families entered so we were absolutely over the moon.
“The production company and staff at Loch Lomond Shores were brilliant with us throughout and we really did love every minute of the time we spent filming and, as a local family who come to Loch Lomond Shores often, even we were surprised by all it has to offer. It was such a positive experience and a great chance for our family to spend time together as I usually work weekends and family time is tricky to fit in so a big thanks to Loch Lomond Shores for choosing us as we all had a ball!”
The promotional film will now be used to showcase Loch Lomond Shores at home and abroad and be a big part of summer marketing going forward.
