Carmunnock Nursery is 40% funded by the government, with the rest required to be raised through various fundraising initiatives. A total of £4,000 was required to ensure the nursery could remain open for the rest of the year, so the donation of £500 from Stewart Milne Homes is hugely valuable to the small nursery.
Caring for 12 local children, the nursery is an integral part of the community. Recently, parents and locals alike joined together to refurbish the garden, with the support of local businesses who donated various supplies.
Joanna Leitch, from Carmunnock Nursery said: “The generous donation from Stewart Milne Homes has really taken some of the pressure off and will help to ensure we can reach our fundraising target. It’s great that Stewart Milne Homes are supporting the nursery and community in this way, we are very grateful.”
Marlyn Boal, Sales and Marketing Director at Stewart Milne Homes added: “It was great to be able to support the children of Carmunnock Nursery and hand over the cheque for £500, which we know they really appreciate. As we grow our Coulter’s Brae neighbourhood with a mix of new apartments and homes, it’s important to us that we support the community where our new homeowners will live.”
Coulter’s Brae has been inspired by the picturesque village of Carmunnock, with the same design ethos being carried through across the new neighbourhood. Beautiful landscaping and tree-lined avenues with natural stone walling and footpaths connect to both the village and Coulter’s Wood.
The collection of homes have been positioned to make the most of the stunning views out to Cathkin Braes Country Park and Coulter’s Wood, and open space and informal play areas continue the community feel.
There are a range of properties available now and in the near future across the neighbourhood. Careful consideration is given to the design of every Stewart Milne Home, each enjoying a high specification with many quality key features included. The Stewart Milne Homes development at Coulter’s Brae features a selection of high quality two and three bedroomed apartments and eight styles of homes, ranging from three to five bedrooms.
The showhomes are open Thursday to Monday from 10.30am-5.30pm. For more information visit www.stewartmilnehomes.com or call 0845 309 6130.
