Our last property masterclass of 2024 is happening at The Village Hotel in Glasgow on the 19th of November!
Whatever your level of experience within property, our Masterclass events offer you the opportunity to gain some valuable insights into a range of areas within the industry and make some brilliant connections in the Scottish property network, too.
Our guest speakers are:
> Paul Docherty - Property Developer
Since starting his property portfolio in 2016 with the goal of boosting his pension pot, Paul has achieved significant success. In 2023 alone, he added five buy-to-let properties and a flip to his portfolio, while also sourcing 17 deals for other investors.
Alongside his property ventures, he runs intensive workshops designed to help others get started in property. These sessions focus on how to earn £3-10k per deal using just a phone.
As a co-host of the Scottish Property Podcast, Paul provides property market updates and interviews guest speakers, aiming to educate, inspire, and entertain both seasoned and aspiring investors.
At the masterclass, Paul will be talking about his property development journey, as well as providing case studies of some of his recent projects.
> Chris Fortune - Property Development Finance Expert, Crowd Property
Chris is the Head of Business Development at Crowd Property, a leading direct lending company specialising in property projects.
With over 20 years of experience in finance, Chris started his career as a Broker before moving into lending, where he has spent the last 15 years focusing on bridging finance, commercial lending, and residential property development funding.
At the event, Chris will provide a brief overview of Crowd Property’s services, explaining what lenders typically look for in both a development and a developer. He will also offer insights into the current residential development market, highlighting key trends and movements shaping the industry.
> Andrew Harkins & Chris Brown - Owners of Brightstone Property
Good friends Andrew and Chris started Brightstone Property in August 2020 doing a mix of flips and buy to let’s before pivoting into commercial property at the start of last year. Since then, they’ve completed on a mixed use “shop and top” purchased from Auction House Scotland and have also completed their first 7000sqft commercial multiple occupancy building in Falkirk.
Chris and Andrew will be discussing their Falkirk CMO journey and giving valuable insights into how their goal setting and review processes have been key to their success.
Following their presentations, our guest speakers will be available to network giving you the chance to quiz them on their areas of expertise. There will also be the opportunity to network with fellow attendees at the event, so you can share your troubles and triumphs in property, and ultimately learn from each other's experiences.
You might notice some of our team sporting moustaches at this event! That’s because we are raising money for Movember, a charity dedicated to supporting men’s mental health, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. Throughout November, our team will be growing moustaches or walking 60k. All proceeds from our masterclass ticket sales are being donated to this charity. To learn more and follow our fundraising progress, please visit the Movember website.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
