Gaby will look after route finding and navigation (especially important in poor visibility) and will share her knowledge of hill walking in Scotland so that you can start to plan your own days out.
This is designed to be at a slower pace, especially on the ascent and descent and there will be plenty of breaks for taking photos, snacking and chatting. However, we will be on our feet for up to 6 hours and some short sections are steep.
The Arrochar Alps are within an hour or so of Glasgow and offer spectacular views, exciting terrain and great hill walking.
Key information:
- Start/finish: Arrochar (Succoth car park). See this map for details. Citylink buses stop nearby. Car share from Glasgow may be possible too.
- Duration: 6 hours
- Ascent: 1200m
- Distance: 10km
- Terrain: Mostly well made paths. Some short steep sections.
