David Goode is one of the UK's leading organists. He has played in cathedrals and concert halls all over the world, and appeared with some of the UK's top orchestras. He has also composed a number of choral and organ works; Blitz Requiem was premiered in St Paul's Cathedral in 2013.
He was a music scholar at Eton College and was then organ scholar at King's College, Cambridge (1991–94). From 1996–2001 he was Sub-Organist at Christ Church, Oxford. He won major prizes at the 1997 St. Alban's Interpretation Competition and at the 1998 Calgary Competition. From 2003 to 2005 he was the Organist-in-residence at First Congregational Church in Los Angeles, and in 2005 he returned to teach at Eton College. He is now a freelance recitalist, teacher and composer. Upcoming engagements include recitals at the Beaminster Festival and in St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, and a recording with the BBC Singers.
David will play works by Mozart, JS Bach, Mendelssohn, Walton, Parry among others.
