'Still Life' by Rachel Mimiec is on at the Lillie Art Gallery in Milngavie from 3 September to 3 November 2022.
Many will recognise the artist's 'Scholars Rocks', which form part of the Trails and Tales project and are set upon wooden plinths in Milngavie, Torrance and Baldernock.
Rachel's new exhibition is formed from reflections upon artefacts within the cultural landscape - taking inspiration from Allander Ware ceramics and the environment from which these were created.
Engaging with selected ceramics from the Lillie Art Gallery's permanent collection, the exhibition offers visitors an immersive experience which considers how we interact with what we take from the land and how our cultural growth impacts upon the natural environment.
Rachel will be giving a public talk about the exhibition on Saturday 17 September from 2.30pm at the Lillie.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
