Glasgow Festival of Burlesque

About Glasgow Festival of Burlesque

The Glasgow Festival of Burlesque was founded in 2014 and took to the stage of the Riding Room and The Polo Lounge in 2015. It showcased and still does showcase some of the finest burlesque talent from Glasgow and a little... well a big bit... further.

In 2019 we celebrated our 5th Birthday and made history at the infamous Barrowlands Ballroom by producing the first burlesque show to grace it's stages, and in 2020 we refused to let Covid-19 defeated us and took the festival online for a 7 day long virtual festival. In 2021 we were lucky enough to be featured in The Virtual Burlesque Hall of Fame and to date have been the only Scottish show to do so.

We've performed at all corners of Scotland and beyond bringing our own brand of good old homegrown Glaswegian burlesque to events such as Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, and also produce the popular Viva GlasVegas Burlesque Showcase during the Edinburgh Fringe.

Racism, homophobia, sexism, misogyny, body shaming, ageism do not belong on in our shows or in our audiences, The venues we use are safe and inclusive spaces.
WE DO NOT TOLORATE ANY FORM OF DISCRIMATION.
...and we don't offer refunds because your any of these things or as we say in Glasgow "no refunds are offered because YOUR an ar*ehole".

With performers coming from all corners of the globe what better way to warm up a cold November weekend!

We hope to see you there and until them remember to stay safe and let Glasgow flourish and fabulous!
