About Anna Meredith
Straddling contemporary classical, art pop, electronica and experimental rock, the Mercury Award-shortlisted Scottish composer garnered multiple awards with albums Varmints and FIBS. Powered by her virtuosic band on guitar, drums, cello and tuba, this wildly inventive artist has performed worldwide to ecstatic reviews. Her creative output is dizzying. As well as film and TV work, she’s composed spectacular openers for both the BBC Proms and the Edinburgh International Festival. She’s also produced an array of eclectic, genre-defying works including current album, Bumps Per Minute: 18 Studies for Dodgems – which emerged from a quirky art installation involving fairground bumper cars.
