Covid-19 meant that the annual Ladies Lunch was cancelled for the last two years, but it is set to come back better than ever in 2022.
Delicious food will be served and ladies can get a head start on their Christmas shopping, while plenty of laughs are also guaranteed, not least from comedian Lubna Kerr, who will be on hand for entertainment at the Ladies Lunch.
Music will be provided by The Nutcrackers, a seven-piece band formed at the Institute of Neurological Sciences based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. Made up of four neurosurgeons, two neurologists and a solicitor, The Nutcrackers play music from across the decades and will aim to pack the dancefloor at the Crowne Plaza.
BBC Scotland arts correspondent, Pauline McLean, will serve as host of the Ladies Lunch.
Pauline’s father, Ken McLean, and uncle, Ian McBride, both lived with Parkinson's and she now supports awareness raising and fundraising for research through Parkinson's UK.
Since the Ladies Lunch first took place in 2016, it has raised just under £60,000 for Parkinson’s UK in Scotland.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
