Risograph Printing
Originating in Japan in the 1980’s as a standard office print and photocopier by the Riso Kagaku Corporation; Risograph printing has become increasingly popular with artists, illustrators and graphic designers thanks to its low cost, beautiful quirks and charm. The Riso process blends elements of screen printing and photocopying, using spot colours and stencils to create textured prints with vibrant results. Using soy-based, non-toxic inks and stencils made from banana leaf fibres, Riso is one of the most eco-friendly ways to print.
