She’ll be talking about her book Wahala which is set to become a major BBC TV series.
The Bookface Sip & Swap event, held at August House in Glasgow is an inspirational monthly event on a Saturday afternoon where book lovers swap titles and participate in a 45-minute Q&A with some of the UK's most noted authors.
'Wahala' means trouble and there's plenty of it in this entertaining story - a fascinating, funny and nuanced look at identity and friendship. Set against the vibrancy of London and Lagos, Wahala is a gripping and fizzing and novel featuring three 30-something women whose lives are upended by a glamorous friend from the past.
Born in Bristol and raised in Lagos, Nikki May is Anglo-Nigerian. At twenty, she dropped out of medical school, moved to London, and began a career in advertising, going on to run a successful agency. Her debut novel was inspired by a long lunch with friends.
