What areas do you value in the city where you live? How do you think about yourself in relation to the galaxy? Where do you go to get your body moving? How easy is it for you to get from a to b? What things can you do to feel more connected to the natural world?
These are just some of the questions that our researchers at the University of Glasgow are asking as part of this year’s ARC Spring Fling. Through interrogating our theme of Space and Place, the ARC invites you to a wealth of FREE public events throughout the Easter Holidays.
There’s lots to get stuck into and we have something for all ages including:
• A drop-in family craft and research trail designed by Emma Melchor
• Our annual ARC Game Night with the UofG Games and Gaming Lab
• Displays of Chinese culture as well as Peking Opera performances
• Fitness and the science of the body circuits
• Planting and botany sessions
• An exploration of DNA
• A visit from children’s author Alan Dapre with an interactive event on his new book My Dog Max
• Workshops about women’s cycling in Glasgow
• Mini-satellite making workshops with artist Siobhan Healy
• Film screenings
And more!
To sign-up for tickets for individual events, please see the full programme here.
Please note, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
