Chance to draw inspiration from the latest Milngavie Art Club Exhibition!
The latest ‘Milngavie Art Club Exhibition’ is being held at the venue from Saturday 15 April to 11 May 2023. Admission is free.
It's a chance to see more than 150 works by members of the club, which formed in 1915 and currently has around 170 artists within its ranks.
The exhibition will be officially opened by Alasdair Banks BA at 2.30pm on Saturday (15 April). As well as a chance to view the exhibits, there will be refreshments and live jazz.
For the past 25 years, Alasdair has been creating large, expressive horse racing paintings for UK and international collectors. He devised the Fine Art Live project which has brought 'live art' to a series of high-profile sports events, from the Cheltenham Gold Cup and Glorious Goodwood to the Festival of Speed and Silverstone Classic.
Jim Neill, Chair of East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture (EDLC) Trust – which operates the Lillie – said: “Milngavie Art Club and the Lillie have always enjoyed a close relationship and we're delighted to be hosting its latest exhibition.
"There will be more than 150 works on show, displaying some of the current members' incredible talents and imaginations. Don't miss out.”
